Adages was composed in 2010 for Marcy and Kenyon Wilson for a premiere at the 2011 Southeast Region Tuba/Euphonium Conference in Chattanooga, TN. The composer selected six adages to represent using music. I. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.II. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.III. Time flies when you are having fun.IV. Every cloud has a silver lining.V. He who hesitates is lost.VI. A rolling stone gathers no moss.
