Description
This is a solo piano setting of the familiar Londonderry Air (Danny Boy). This arrangement starts out in the key of D Major with lush jazz style chords and lots of movement under the melody in both the treble and bass voices. The first section concludes with an open 5th transition to a modal setting ( D Phrygian) of the song in a slightly faster 6/8 time. This song concludes with a re-cap of part of the first section ending with a final cadence on a lush D 6/9. ASCAP
