This is a great little piece, in C Major, for teaching the general concept of dynamics and more specifically echo. This duet, for the preparatory level student, emphasizes the concept of echo not only through the use of dynamics, but also the very nature of one pianist playing loud and the other playing softly as the echo. The echo is reversed half way through and again at the repeat. The phrases are simple with the echo being created by the dynamic changes between phrases. The primo part is in middle C position and the secundo part is in low C position. Additional interest is created through the use of slurred, staccato & legato phrasing. ASCAP
