Knight Fight! (Beginner Flex Band)
By Jason Bailey
For concert band
Includes score and parts
Cats, everywhere. Flex band has never been so fun! This beginner flex band piece will have your students climbing the curtains! Focusing on eighth notes, staccatos, a few accidentals, and a chromatic exercise in the mallets, this piece is great for not only learning some new skills but really helping students break out of their shells! Parts for the students to make "random cat noises", meowing, and having fun while learning new concepts will be sure to be a hit for your first-year students. Included are click tracks for each of the 3 parts, percussion, at tempo and at a slower tempo, and a study warm-up sheet that focuses on the rhythms used, possible new notes for the students, and percussion and mallet exercises to go with them. Lower parts do not have accidentals for students that are learning at a different pace. Such a fun piece!
