Frolic is an original composition for Clarinet Choir- E flat clarinet, 3 B flat Clarinets, Alto in E flat and Bass Clarinet in B flat..It is in ternary form-a moderate 6/8 time throughout (except one 3/8 bar) with most of the work as staccato quavers to keep the feeling of lightness and fun!The two sections are in concert E flat and G flat major respectively before returning to E flat major for the final section and coda.It has been put at intermediate level with E flat clarinet and 1st B flat Clarinet having more detailed work- Clarinet 2 maintains intertest with shared melodic lines and Clarinet 3 can be played by a less experienced player. The Alto and Bass parts I have tried to keep interesting with plenty of movement, but supplying support to the ensemble. The whole score in on the youtube link for you to judge.
