This is a new, elementary level, piano piece based on the original hymn "The First Noel". This essay, in the key of C Major, has a melody which is accompanied by an alberti bass. Both the left and right hands move gently from the basic five finger hand position and incorporate necessary fingerings which facilitate the moves. The music also incorporates some arpeggiations at the cadences. This is a softly moving piece incorporating some minor chords in the progression giving it an almost folksy quality. Its an excellent change of pace for your student's next holiday performance and would be a great follow-up to the original hymn. ASCAP
