Asturias (Legend) (arr. for harp and string quartet)
By Isaac Albéniz y Pascual, arr. Natheniel Siu
For string ensemble
Beethoven's famous Moonlight Sonata (1st mvt) has been given a new treatment here for Alto Sax, Tenor Sax and Piano. I have arranged it in concert D minor to make the key signatures more bearable. It has been given a more pop/latin feel and some areas revert back to the classical nature of the original. It has a large dynamic range and is 4 minutes in length. The piece is nor for beginners. I have listed it as Advanced Intermediate but the youtube clip gives you the fully score so you can assess the suitability. Its is intended as a classical crossover showpiece for concerts, recitals etc.
