Demelza's Dance is an original work scored for 2 Trumpets in B flat, Horn in F, 2 Trombones and Tuba. But instrumentation could be adapted to suit ensemble. It is in a bright playful 2/4 time- the style similar to a polka. It is in Concert C minor. The middle section by contrast is in C major and is a lyrical contrasting variation before returning to the C minor section then coda.
